The easiest way to reach Kashmir is by flying to Srinagar Airport (Sheikh ul-Alam International Airport), which is well-connected to major Indian cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, and Chandigarh. From the airport, taxis and buses are available to reach different parts of the valley.
The nearest railway station is Jammu Tawi (approx. 270 km from Srinagar). From Jammu, you can hire a cab or take a bus to reach Srinagar, which takes around 7–8 hours by road.
Kashmir is well-connected via the NH44 highway. You can drive or take a bus from Delhi, Chandigarh, or Jammu. The scenic route through the Banihal Tunnel offers breathtaking mountain views.
